• The National Quality Award recognizes the commitment of companies to quality management in their processes, products and services.

For good leadership practices and continuous improvement in its production processes, CEMEX Nicaragua received The 2017 National Quality Award in the category "Excellence in the quality of its products and services", in cement and concrete operations.

The National Quality Award (PNC) is a distinction granted by the Government of the Republic through the Executive Committee of the PCN to public and private organizations that have demonstrated commitment and leadership by implementing actions for efficiency and improvement in their processes, development and provision of its products and services.

“This recognition reaffirms our commitment to the quality and culture of customer focus that we are developing to provide them with integral solutions and, thus, boost the development of Nicaragua”, said Engineer Karla Tellez, Sales Manager Channel Distribution and Market Development of CEMEX Nicaragua.

This is how the 2017 National Quality Award recognizes CEMEX Nicaragua for its leadership and compliance with policies, goals and objectives; human talent management; practices that contribute to an adequate working environment for the well-being of personnel; design and incursion in the market of products and / or services; compliance with industrial hygiene and safety regulations and the promotion of corporate social responsibility.

This is the fourth time that CEMEX Nicaragua receives the PNC. In addition, as part of its continuous improvement, the company has obtained the re-certification of ISO 9001, which recognizes the optimization of the company's production and organizational processes in terms of quality and the ISO 14001 standard, which certifies companies that they implement friendly practices with the environment.

Representatives of the business chambers, government bodies, economic and academic sectors of the country attend the ceremony. On the part of CEMEX Nicaragua, a group of collaborators received the National Award for Quality 2017 from the authorities of Mific.
